StoryBlend 2012 is scheduled for July 30 – August 10 in St. Paul, MN.

We will begin accepting applications in May for our 2012 cycle.

Over the course of two weeks, interpreters:

work with Deaf mentors exploring ASL, Deaf and hearing culture, interpreting, and physical awareness
play, discuss, create, and share in an all-ASL environment
discover stories and connections
create a group story in ASL and English to show friends and family
StoryBlend 2011

This activity funded, in part, by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.

StoryBlend is an immersion program for sign language interpreters wanting to connect with the Deaf community, improved competence in ASL and interpreting, and deeper understanding of Deaf culture and themselves.
